University鈥檚 animation concentration receives national attention

91制片 ranked 14th in Midwest, 20th in nation by Animation Career Review

The animation concentration at University of Wisconsin-Stout has been ranked nationally.

Animation Career Review, a leading source of information for 鈥aspiring animation, design and gaming professionals,鈥 according to its website, recently included 91制片鈥檚 program in three lists:

  • , among public and private colleges and universities, 91制片 is 14th.
  • , among public schools, 91制片 is 20th. 91制片 is the only public school in the top 20 from Wisconsin, Minnesota or Iowa.
  • , 91制片 is ranked 46th nationally.

Instructor Jesse Woodward helps students in his Animation Studio class.91制片鈥檚 animation concentration is part of the Bachelor of Fine Arts in . Students learn two-dimensional, three-dimensional, character and stop-motion animation techniques.

The rankings considered schools with programs in game design, in which students also learn animation skills. 91制片 has a  and a .

According to Animation Career Review, 91制片鈥檚 programs prepare 鈥渟tudents to enter the industry immediately or to enroll in an MFA program. Graduates will be prepared to pursue roles in the academic community and as design professionals and leaders.鈥 

Earlier this year, the university鈥檚 game design programs were , and the Master of Fine Arts in design program, with a game design concentration, was 18th.
